Milkha Singh, famously known as the "Flying Sikh," was one of India’s greatest track athletes. He represented India in the 1956, 1960, and 1964 Olympics, narrowly missing a bronze in the 400 meters in 1960 Rome. Born in pre-partition Punjab, Milkha overcame immense personal struggles to become a national icon.
He also won gold medals in the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. His inspiring life story was immortalized in the 2013 biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Milkha Singh remains a symbol of perseverance, speed, and patriotic pride.
